Today, we are starting or continuing to look at our evidence about John Brown, to decide if he was a martyr, a hero, or a terrorist.

HOMEWORK due FRIDAY:  You are writing a speech to the jury to convince them that Brown was a martyr, a hero, or a terrorist, and to ask them to punish (or forgive) him accordingly.  This is a longer-than-usual assignment, so please make sure you plan accordingly.  The effort level on homework has dropped recently (not uncommon in the spring), but this is one assignment you cannot just phone in.
